The rules, written out
Every number below is the one the app applies — nothing here is softened for the help page.
Booking a pro
You choose a service, a date and a place, then a pro. Nothing is asked of you until the last screen: an account is created at the moment you book, not to look around.
Sending the request does not book the appointment. A standard pro has 24 hrs to accept, and your card is only held during that time. If she refuses, or lets the window run out, the authorization is released on its own — you are never charged on a refusal or an expiry.
A pro who books instantly is different: there is no waiting and the deposit is taken immediately. Either way, the balance is due in the app at the end of the service, once you say it is done — and nothing is ever added to it without your approval in one tap.
Find a proDeposit and cancellation
The deposit is 25% of the service. It is held on your card, not taken: the money leaves only after the appointment, and it counts against the total — it is never an extra fee.
It exists because a no-show costs a pro a whole afternoon she turned other clients away for. It protects you too: a pro who has accepted an appointment with a held deposit rarely cancels it.
| More than 48 hrs before | $48.75 refunded |
|---|---|
| Between 48 and 24 hrs | $24.38 refunded |
| Less than 24 hrs | No refund |
If the pro cancels, or never answers your request, you are refunded in full and receive a $10.00 credit. That case never costs you anything.
Refunds land in 5 to 10 days. That delay is the bank's, not ours — the release is sent the minute the cancellation is recorded.
See your appointmentsHow reviews work
A review can only be written after an appointment that actually happened, by the person who booked it. You rate from 1 to 5 in the app first, and that rating is what counts on the profile.
Rate 4 or 5 and you are invited — never obliged — to post it publicly as well. Rate 3 or less and you are not: that goes to a person here who tries to put it right, and it is never routed anywhere public.
A seller in the shops can answer a review once, in public. Nobody can delete one.
Photos of your appointment
A photo of the result reaches a pro's gallery only if you ticked photo consent on that booking. It is optional, it is asked for once, and skipping it changes nothing else about the appointment.
You can have yours removed at any time, without giving a reason. A minor's face needs separate written consent from the guardian, whatever was ticked on the booking.
Orders and shipping
A shop belongs to one seller. One order means one seller and one shipment — Glow Up never splits a basket across sellers, so you always know who packed the box and who to write to.
She has 72 hrs to ship. Past that the order cancels itself and you are refunded in full, without having to ask. Once the box arrives you have 48 hrs to say something; the seller is paid after that window, and opening a dispute inside it keeps the money where it is.
Track my orderWho is on Glow Up
A pro is listed once her identity is checked and her licence, when her state requires one, has been seen. The badge on a profile says which of the two was verified — it never means more than it says.
Your address is released to the pro at the moment she accepts, and never before. Until then she sees your first name and your rating.
How it worksContact us
A person reads these, in Gulfport. Give us the reference of the booking or the order — it starts with GU- and sits on the screen that confirmed it — and we can answer in one message instead of three.
